Re: Hydraulic Clutch

Might be worth it on a 500 conversion. With heavier clutch springs

Re: Frame ID help

Mirrors are wrong for any market. I do make replicas of the real thing.

Yup, that's me. I make a range of stuff. Once it is on the bike, you won't notice any difference.

Re: Looking for...

Not at £23,500! Sitting on it at the NEC showed it was no longer a road bike. Subsequent reports seem to adopt that view point. It took me enough convincing to part with £18k fir the current bike which does everything I need.

As for buying from Hunts, don't get me started.

Sadly I don't. John the owner of Hunts told me. He was testing if I was interested in the new RRR which I wasn't.

Re: So, is everyone doing OK ?

All good here. Working from home which isn't pleasant. Bikes all sorned. I'm not anticipating any riding this year but hope I'm wrong. There's a couple of sets of manifolds to grind/remould and that's about it.

Re: Looking for...

SP2 looks good. The owner traded that and an SP2 blade to buy the pirate blade. Hunts... Good at selling. They broke the tailpiece of my blade fitting a tracker. Long story short, including truing to palm me off with a used replacement, an invitation to court did the trick. I'll never use them again.

Re: Looking for...

It will be interesting to know what you make of the new pirate SP. I think it was always going to be a slow seller, but with all the Covoid stuff going on now, I can see very very few selling. Who did you buy from? Not Hunts I hope

Re: So, is everyone doing OK ?

Boring as hell. Finished gardening and house cleaning. Have the cleanest bikes in West Mids, but even now I am Autosoling screw and bolt heads. Even paid over the odds for new fairing screws from Fowlers, but I don't mean to criticise Fowlers because they are our Godsend at times!! Your bikes are a...

Hi Nigel

Ian Wright is your man for fibreglass stand covers.

Are you returning to the Fireblade forum or have you had enough?

Re: Too much crap no 3

As mentioned above, likely source is jiggered crank seal. You can do a leakdown test to see if seals have gone. At this age, I'd just tear the motor down and have the crank rebuilt as all seals will be goosed. Ignore the bodges suggested, split the cases. Inner seals are available from www.classicra...

Re: general question spare parts

I think parts availability has gotten better not worse in recent times.

www.classicracereplicas.com has most stuff. I've done rubber items ixluding manifolds and mirrors. Then DMR Japan has done a lot of stuff too.
