Re: New member and a question

Just start it. It'll be fine. If you are real keen, you can pretty much do what Hopper suggests by taking the exhausts off and peering with a torch/feeling with your fingers. Rebuild is always a good idea on anything that age though. Www.classicracereplicas.com and to a lesser degree myself are your...

Re: Aftermarket rear shock

Provided to original forks are in good nick, the front end is fine.. Obviously it ain't as good as modern gear, but I've not felt the need to do anything further to mine, nor is it mismatched to the Ohlins rear.

I think tyres and wheels are a much bigger limiting factor.

Re: Front fairing paint

The originals were painted white. The decal was applied with mask, yellow painted and the mask removed. I have original decals but they are unusable. Depends on your perspective I guess. But they are bloody expensive I will grant you. Give KAIS a call and see what they would charge now.

Or see what Ian Wright can sell you.

I didn't fancy spending more money on cheap shocks, and after some horrible wobbles at the Verandah one TT, I had a custom Ohlins done ...

Yup, that's me. I make a range of stuff. Once it is on the bike, you won't notice any difference.
