Re: NS400r inner fork bushings

Which is why it is usually cheaper to get a good one than restore a basket case.

Re: Nonce Alert

At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, let's just say, you don't get extradited for a minor offence.......and leave it at that!

Re: Nonce Alert

Let's not forget, convicted criminal, 30 charges ffs, had to be extradited because he ran away... All pre internet.... Charming chap. So yeah, we're safe, but I chose not to associate with these kind of people.

Re: Aftermarket rear shock

Depends on your perspective I guess. But they are bloody expensive I will grant you. Give KAIS a call and see what they would charge now.

Or see what Ian Wright can sell you.

Re: Aftermarket rear shock

I had a Hagon unit on mine. It was OK, but needed regular overhaul. I couldn't add remote preload adjuster so you couldn't adjust the preload which was a real pita. I didn't fancy spending more money on cheap shocks, and after some horrible wobbles at the Verandah one TT, I had a custom Ohlins done ...

Might be worth it on a 500 conversion. With heavier clutch springs

Mirrors are wrong for any market. I do make replicas of the real thing.

Yup, that's me. I make a range of stuff. Once it is on the bike, you won't notice any difference.

Re: Looking for...

Not at £23,500! Sitting on it at the NEC showed it was no longer a road bike. Subsequent reports seem to adopt that view point. It took me enough convincing to part with £18k fir the current bike which does everything I need.

As for buying from Hunts, don't get me started.

Re: Looking for...

Sadly I don't. John the owner of Hunts told me. He was testing if I was interested in the new RRR which I wasn't.

Re: So, is everyone doing OK ?

All good here. Working from home which isn't pleasant. Bikes all sorned. I'm not anticipating any riding this year but hope I'm wrong. There's a couple of sets of manifolds to grind/remould and that's about it.

Re: Looking for...

SP2 looks good. The owner traded that and an SP2 blade to buy the pirate blade. Hunts... Good at selling. They broke the tailpiece of my blade fitting a tracker. Long story short, including truing to palm me off with a used replacement, an invitation to court did the trick. I'll never use them again.

Re: Looking for...

It will be interesting to know what you make of the new pirate SP. I think it was always going to be a slow seller, but with all the Covoid stuff going on now, I can see very very few selling. Who did you buy from? Not Hunts I hope
