. . . Lastly the beer that is in the pubs will have gone off by the time they reopen . . .
Huh?

I use fuel stabiliser in my bikes to prolong fuel life.

Is there not a similar additive for beer?

Re: So, is everyone doing OK ?

Whoa! No riding this year? That's a massive call - but not necessarily unreasonable. I can see the present status remain until end of May after which there would be some relaxation of social distancing. All speculation of course, but the government is faced with a very fine balance of protecting the...

Re: Looking for...

SP2 looks good. The owner traded that and an SP2 blade to buy the pirate blade. Huh? You know the previous owner of my VTR? Was previously YW02 ZBZ. Was originally from Germany and came into UK in June 2019. If you do know him, it would be nice if you'd pass on that the bike is in VERY good hands!!

Re: So, is everyone doing OK ?

I have been on with fettling the bikes for the last two weeks while on furlough leave. . . All batten down the hatches and lets get out for hopefully an Indian summer? Good (and important) that we keep active. I am now cleaning already cleaned bikes!! I'm figuring it might be a very short 'I...

Re: So, is everyone doing OK ?

. . . Fork seal leaking . . . Same with mine last year pre-MoT. I think the problem would be exacerbated for bikes that don't see much use. I now give a slight spray of WD40 to the forks (and then wipe down) just to reduce dry friction before riding. Not sure if it helps; guess I'll know in a year ...

Re: Looking for...

It will be interesting to know what you make of the new pirate SP. . . Who did you buy from? Not Hunts I hope  Nah, I'm miles from there! Blade Honda in Stratford-upon-Avon, from where I've purchased a few bikes including my Daytona Moto 2. Coincidentally, I did buy a VTR SP-2 from Hunts just...

Re: Looking for...

Woops. Sincere apologies, Alastair. I don't check in here very often. I was merely expressing interest in the fibreglas cos I hadn't seen them. It was actually Ian who tipped me off about a Rothmans one which I purchased, prepped and painted, and is now installed. Erm, the Fireblade forum? Yes, I me...

Re: So, is everyone doing OK ?

Boring as hell. Finished gardening and house cleaning. Have the cleanest bikes in West Mids, but even now I am Autosoling screw and bolt heads. Even paid over the odds for new fairing screws from Fowlers, but I don't mean to criticise Fowlers because they are our Godsend at times!! What has hit me i...

Re: Looking for...

i have a white fibreglass stand fairing Interesting. I've never seen these advertised as aftermarket parts. Is it something you moulded yourself? I too, needed one 12 months ago, but was kindly assisted by a forum member who pointed me in the direction of a 'Rothman's' blue one which I promptly pre...

Hi Jeff. Glad I can help on one of my infrequent visits :) I have the OEM stand and attach dimensions in pic. In brief, handle is 17 inches from end to base bar. https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/p455/nigelrbarnard/0/3435468c-c544-48e7-a3d4-33f95d74a655-original.jpg?width=1920&height=1080&fit=b...

Re: Rs500 replica build

Hi Nigel, Yes, it certainly looks much better with the stripes correctly aligned. I'm pretty sure I saw the bike for sale a year or so ago? Ah, yes. I see you have one or two diesel Hondas, and one is even the pretty version.. I do like the 03-06 model. I have a '93 P. Yes, Mark. June 21 last year....

Re: Rs500 replica build

How did the dream machine paint work out? So sorry about delay, Mark. Not on here much as most of my time is on the UK Fireblade forum. Anyway, tank came out perfect! My key interest was re-aligning stripes with bodywork cos the previous owner was not as fastidious as myself. I'd have no hesitation...
