Re: Brake and clutch levers

Even stranger is that when I go on the site there's only adjustable brake lever and not an adjustable span clutch lever ! Maybe you have a higher authority than me, As in the original post, I was looking for matching brake and clutch levers, There's nothing wrong with the old bikes or levers but thi...

Re: Brake and clutch levers

There's no one on this forum that can do a better job of rebuilding their engine than I can, including the ones that charge for it, Hopefully that answers whether or not I trust the engine rebuild ! As for the rest, irrelevant really ! The Classic race replicas website doesn't have any of the adjust...

Re: Paddock stand alternative needed

Hi Channel hopper, Thanks for reply and information, I will have a look at getting one of those, I have found that the front paddock stand that I already have does work pretty well, it seems stable enough to swap wheels etc, I will take your advice and get the type you have recommended Cheers Roll o...

Paddock stand alternative needed

Can anyone help with advice as to what paddock stand can be used for the rear instead of the original Honda one, Does anyone fabricate an alternative ? I have looked at where the Honda stand fits and wondered if anyone has tried one of the front paddock stands that have two small bars that lift the ...

Re: DMR Japan parts supply

Hi Samuli, Thanks for the reply, good information that has helped me come to my decision, I will buy the racing drum centre to fit to my engine rebuild, I have also bought the gears to cure the second gear issue after advice from Nova racing, my engine is about an hour away from being out of the fra...

DMR Japan parts supply

Has anyone managed to buy anything from DMR Japan ? They have most of the things that owners need to keep these bikes on the road, I have tried to contact them but I suspect because of the language barrier I have not had a reply, One or two things that I fancy getting from them but in particular I l...

Crank rebuild

HI All, has anyone done their own crank rebuild ? I have done lots of twins (Proddy LC and 350 TZ) but only one triple which was a Suzuki GT750 when I was 18 due to lack of finances, the questions are should I do it myself or pay for the job doing , has anyone a recommendation who to got to if I dec...

Re: Ns400r Rev counter cover

Hi

There's one for sale on Ebay at the moment, it's in Japan but the price is ok including the postage, I was going to buy it as a spare but I'll leave it, I would be quick as they're pretty rare (isn't everything for the NS400R !)

Piston

Hi Has anyone got any pistons ? A good second hand one is all that I want for now, and if I could loan a cylinder too then that would be ideal, The reason I need the above is to research alternative pistons for repairs or improvements, I know that YZ/RD/DT 125 pistons are a possibility but there's s...

Re: Footrest rubbers

Hi Channel hopper Sorry for late reply, (like all of us I have had a lot of crap to deal with) I know that looking at pictures my footrests are definitely different to the standard type on a UK bike, my footrest rubbers have two small studs moulded into the rubber and fasten through the alloy, if I ...

Re: Wide Comstar Modifications

I am resurrecting this post as I have my tools ready to do the 1000R wheel conversion, The bits of advice I need are, Does everyone refit the fibre insulator washers between the disc and the hub, What temperature do you heat the bolts to before attempting removal, What tyre sizes does everyone use w...

Re: Squish on stock heads

I know the difference between squish and compression ratio. If the squish is reduced then the compression will be raised unless other modifications are carried out, The question that I asked was a question to any forum members, is it a good idea to raise compression ratio by a small amount ? Does it...
