Number 1 coil mount?

Post by kangaroo »

Hey guys,

Just a quick question, one I'm quite ashamed to have to ask actually...

But where does the #1 ignition coil mount? I can't see any detailed pictures of where it mountsls, but If I remember rightly, it was actually bolted onto the engine via a crankcase bolt or something... I'd have imagined it should go on the frame?

Sorry for such a ridiculous question but it's something I'm going to need to do soon and I've had a look but can't see in the manual.

Regards
Ryan

The number 1 coil has a rubber surround, which slides on to a U shaped bracket bolted to the inlet rubber of cylinder No 1

The bracket is No 17 on here

If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is.

Thank you very much, I've got the bracket, but it's am aftermarket coil so I'll need to cable tie it in or something more secure. I wouldn't have thought to bolt it there.

Many thanks!!
