Re: Rolling chassis

Apologies for not replying earlier. A local flooding and yet another break in to the yard has put paid to many of my visits here. I will pull the V5C this weekend and check the chassis that is in the lockup. I did a check earlier tonight and the wheels are still here, the frame and swingarm were (as...

Re: Rolling chassis

I do have a spare chassis(not the Jap numbered one) but had put it into the rear end of the garage since it needed some threads cleaned out. The engine was the usual 'centre pot seizure' plus general 'left to rot' for many years before I acquired it, but has been in my possession since I joined this...

Re: Rolling chassis

I might be able to help, what parts have you got already apart from a complete engine. Carburettors, exhausts ?

Whereabouts are you ?

Re: larger front disc & rear ventilated disc

It does all look like NC24 running gear, including the Nissin twin pots. The floating discs on the CBR250/400s would make more sense, being larger and two a penny in Japan, though they have twelve point fitting as opposed to ten. The vented disc really isn't going to make any diference except add we...

Re: experienced trustworthy dealer or mechanic for engine overhaul

Hello and welcome Kristof.

There are a few European outlets that deal with this bike and other Honda 2 stroke machines of the era.

What do you require for the engine, have you turned it over or gone further and taken some things apart ?

Re: New member and a question

Before kicking over, take the spark plugs out , get a camera on a stick ( the sort for inspection for mechanical checks, though if you have access to hospital kit it can be used) and look down all the barrels. Pistons crown and bores are important as are the ports on all corners, if there is any dam...

Re: Side Seat panels

Hello Mark

Not seen your pm, and I have some space on the forum server so not sure why it hasnt come through.

I have found three panels in Rothman like colours, will clean the dust off and take pictures tomorrow of the flaws.

Re: Side Seat panels

Could you send me a link to the original auction since I have also had a set of bike parts 'refused ' once I had paid a German breakers (not NS400). Their reason was they had miscalculated the shipping costs to the UK. I was willing to go half way on the revised charge but they didn't bite.

Re: Nonce Alert

I skimmed the links posted and assumed this was a 70s crime, where a teenage youth had shenanigans with a girl - possibly more than one - a couple of years younger than him. Fast forward and the link suggests it all kicked off some twelve years back and he ended up in court, then behind bars for a f...

This forum deals with thirty five year old lolitas, so you are safe here.

The problem with the Internet has always been a free rein for idiot access when they have idle hands.
