Unable to delete Private Messages

The response , regardless of delete/mark as unimportant says the request could not be submitted.

Re: Cdi for front cylinders

OK, before you connect it up to the bike, check with a meter between the two coil outputs and compare it with your one.

Good luck, I do have a spare here if both are screwed, though I'm not driving beyond Barnet to deliver.

Re: Cdi for front cylinders

Have you tried cleaning the connector block that goes to the important bit of the front pair CDI ? Whilst it could be an internal fault of the unit, I would believe the two connectors are simply separated inside the capsule for convenience of wiring (there is no point in creating a secondary pulse f...

You are miles from here, but yes I have pistons, some new, some used.

What grade - a / b / c ?

A dimension of the bore will assist.

Re: Late to the Game in Georgia USA

Apologies, missed your last post. Before you do anything else, stop running the bike and start looking really carefully at the carburettor set up If she runs better with the airbox off then you have a gummy choke, and work forward from there. Worse still, a faulty oil pump which means more piping to...

This earlier thread describes the parts and sequence of upgrading front / rear with the 1000 rims.

Re: Spark

Have you checked the earthing points on the frame and engine are making contact.

You could try a ferrous screwdriver on the rotor just to confirm it is still magnetised, though I have not heard that the NS400 can fail in this way.

Re: Decal Clue

On other Hondas, it would usually be found on the underneath of the seat.

Apart from head and exhaust gasket though, is asbestos found elsewhere on the bike ? (within the side panel heat shroud ?)

Re: rear cowl wanted

Most put them on to stop pillions from climbing on ( and to carry sandwiches to work).

Do you mean the piece of plastic above the rear light ?

Re: general question spare parts

I've just had a glance at the other stuff these two are flogging. I suspect the auction price is artificially high to offset the eBay / Paypal charges that creep up to almost 30% of the final bid plus delivery costs.

The seller is certainly stung on the site.
