NS250RK bodywork?

Post by annediamond »

Hope you guys are a mine of information... I am looking at building the NS into a copy of a factory bike that Honda would have run at the time. I have a genuine HRC F3 seat unit and a few other kit parts

I know the fairing has now gone but I know the bike had the 1984 250cc GP bike fairing which Airtech make as the USA were given some of the GP bikes to run and the GP bike used a modified version of the road bike frame. (Or the road bike used a modified version of the race bike frame).

So I am hoping someone may have found a photo of one of the actual factory FF F3 bikes run by Honda so I can copy the design.

Hi there, Regarding a fairing. Have you looked at Ragged Edge Racing website? Quite number of choices for fairings to fit 250 Honda racers. Spike is the man with all the knowledge of what fits what.

I am more hoping some guys may have some photos of some F3 NS250R's being raced in Japan at the time. I want to get the paintwork to look like one of the actual factory bikes if I can.

If you search for the RS250(R) and derivatives you will find plenty of pictures out there. For example

https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/15321/ ... egory=list

https://rmdmotors.com/bike/1984-honda-rs250-2/

Or search by rider and year

Not looking for the gp bike. Looking for the TTF3 All Japan Championship bikes. Honda HRC ran one bike possibly 2 as full factory spec bikes for part of the season along side the development of the works RVF400 F3 bike. Dont confuse the F3 RVF400 with the later RVF400 nc35. They built a full factory F3 400 trying to get away from running a 2 stroke. Although ultimately the NSR250RK was the most successful F3 bike in the championship.
