Rear Seat Cowl

Post by nigelrb »

Has anyone purchased a rear seat cowl from Classic Race Replicas, and if so is it a good product for quality and fit?

Ive not purchased one of Ian's in fiber glass cowls for the NS400R, are the bum pads actual foam and vinyl or are they molded plastic/fiberglass too (some are , the RZ350 one I have is not a real pad http://www.classicracereplicas.com/Yama ... th-Pad-New )

I do have one of these NS400R solo cowls as a spare from Ebay, they are VERY good quality ABS and the bum pad is nicely done with foam and vinyl, add a splash of red paint and your golden

Cheers again Mr Cat on this two participants forum! :D

I had seen the ebay white cowls but I tend to be a 'relationship' customer so preferred the Classic Replicas piece. I've been in contact with them (Ian) and am satisfied his product will be fine - but there's a 4-week delay. I need a replacement because the cowl on my bike (which arrives Fri 29/6 in the afternoon) is signed by Freddie Spencer. I obviously prefer to preserve that.

Interesting the Yamaha product is substantially cheaper than the Honda
